Inspiring A New Food Culture For A Healthier Life.

Sakthi Saravana is a Social Enterprise dedicated to restoring the integrity of our food culture. As an integrated Farm-to-Door brand, we provide technology-powered, end-to-end solutions for those seeking authenticity, trust, and health. We restore our food culture through organic and regenerative agriculture, delivering a meaningful impact with every meal and honoring an unbreakable chain that begins with healthy soil and ends with the health of your family.

The Roots of Our Mission

This mission isn't just a business strategy for me; it’s a reflection of my roots. Growing up in the agricultural heart of Sri Lanka in the 1980s, I saw firsthand what a healthy, functioning food ecosystem looked like.

One of my favorite childhood memories was Thai Pongal — The festival of the harvest. It is a time dedicated to thanking the Sun, the Land, and the Animals for giving us life. My ancestors used this tradition to keep us connected to the ecosystem, ensuring we never forgot our place within it.

In my village, sustainability wasn't a "trend" — it was an informal, daily reality. Every household was a mini-ecosystem. I grew up surrounded by banana, jackfruit, mango, guava, pomegranate, and coconut trees, living alongside in our backyard was goats and chickens. We had no city garbage collection because "waste" didn't exist. We collected food, leaves, and animal waste in our backyards, mixing it with the wood ash from our clay cookers. Even when we trimmed our trees, local farmers would collect the branches to use as mulch or fodder. My grandmother explained that this ash and organic matter fertilized the land, completing a perfect circle.

My father recently shared stories of farming with my grandfather in the 1950s — a time of "Vithai Nellu" where farmers carefully saved seeds from their own harvest for the next season. There was no such thing as white rice; there was only nutrient-dense rice like Muppankan or Pachchaiperumal, and ancient grains like Kurakkan (Finger Millet). The land was tilled not by heavy machinery, but by ox-drawn ploughs.

Was it a perfect system? It depends on who you ask. For the families and the land, it was a system of remarkable health that followed the core principles of what we now call Regenerative Agriculture. However, it was also a system of intense manual labour and limited reach.

Today, much of that ancestral wisdom has been lost, even in Sri Lanka. I am not suggesting we can or should recreate the exact ecosystem of the 1950s or 1980s. Instead, we must rethink what is possible today. We must take those timeless ecological principles and power them with the infrastructure and technology of the modern world.

SakthiSaravana is that "path." My grandmother used to say, "Thai piranthal vazhi pirakum" — When the month of the harvest is born, a new path will be born. We are building that path today, bridging the best of our past with the potential of our future.

Soil Health in Regenerative Farm

A Social Enterprise for a New Era: A Blueprint from the Past

Our journey began with a simple observation:  The modern food system has lost its connection to the soil and its sense of authenticity. SakthiSaravana was founded to bridge that gap.

SakthiSaravana is more than an e-commerce platform or a delivery service; it is a Social Enterprise. We are a founder-led mission dedicated to reconnecting the vital links of our food ecosystem.

We believe that health is not a single element. While it certainly depends on the type of food you consume, true health is a continuous journey that begins in the soil before the food reaches your kitchen. It is an unbreakable chain where every step depends on the integrity of the one before it:

  1. The Soil: Healthy soil is the foundation; without it, there is no nutrient-dense food. We are committed to restoring the earth through regenerative practices so it can sustain life for generations.
  2. The Animals: Ethical, regenerative practices ensure that animals contribute to a balanced and thriving ecosystem, maintaining welfare and harmony within our partner farms.
  3. The Farmer: A system only works if the farmer is profitable, empowered, and sustainable. We empower these stewards of the land through fair partnerships, technology, and trust.
  4. The Family: Your health is the final harvest of this entire journey. We deliver authentic food to homes that value health and transparency.

At SakthiSaravana, we don’t just move products. Our promise is to ensure the integrity of the journey from the farm to your door, safeguarding the soil, the animals, and the farmers so that you can trust the food on your table.

Our Farms: A Global Partner Network of Regenerative or Organic Farms

Our Farms: A Global Partner Network

"Our Farms" are not defined by borders, but by shared values. As we scale, we are looking to partner with a growing network of independent organic and regenerative growers across Canada, and as we expand, we will integrate regenerative pioneers from the US, Asia, and across the globe. Every farm in the SakthiSaravana network—regardless of country—is held to a dual standard:

  • Certified Organic: We guarantee that 100% of our ingredients are Certified Organic under the Canadian Organic Standards (COS), verified by Ecocert Canada. Our farm partners prioritize natural and ecological controls and adhere to a strict Permitted Substances List, ensuring the safest and most sustainable food for your family.

  • The Regenerative Path: While we source from organic farms, we use our partnership with StopTheDesert to provide a blueprint for restoration. We aim to move beyond "sustainable" to "regenerative," utilizing the Ecocert Regenerative Agriculture standard as our global benchmark for soil health and biodiversity.

The 6% Stewardship Impact

Our Sustainability Commitment from Day One

We believe that for a food culture to be truly healthy, it must give back to the land and the people who tend it. As we launch our pilot and begin this journey, SakthiSaravana is committed to a revenue-share model that ensures our growth directly fuels global restoration.

We have structured our enterprise to allocate 6% of our total revenue to three foundational pillars:

Integrity Pillar

1.5% of Revenue

Ontario Organic

As we grow, we will invest in the advocacy and high standards of organic farming. By supporting Ontario Organic, we ensure that the "Organic" promise remains protected, verified, and transparent for every consumer in our community.

Restoration Pillar

1.5% of Revenue

StopTheDesert

This is our commitment to the future. We intend to fund the transformation of degraded landscapes in developing nations into fertile, regenerative ecosystems. We don’t just want to source from existing farms; we want to help create the soil of the future.

Resilience Pillar

3.0% of Revenue

Direct Farmer Recovery

We provide immediate relief during climate disasters—like the current floods—and fund the long-term transition to regenerative agriculture. By working directly with local cooperatives, we ensure every dollar reaches the farming families who need it most.
